I focus on finding the root cause of illness/imbalance/dysfunction, and this is what makes the Functional Medicine approach so powerful and unique. Giving a generalized time frame is difficult as each patient and condition is different.

Remember, for many chronic conditions, you didn’t start feeling poorly overnight – it probably took days, months, or even years. The longer a condition has been present, the longer it may take to heal.

Most treatment plans may be 3-6 months in length, however more complex health problems may take longer and more straightforward problems may be less.
No, your insurance is not billed. The highly personalized healthcare that I provide is not supported by insurance providers. I will provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement as an “out of network” provider. In some cases, lab tests may be covered by your insurance.

For payment, I accept cash, checks, credit cards, and HSA. Payments must be made in full at the time of service. See Appointments for visit costs.

My services typically do qualify under HSA regulations. However, it is your responsibility to confirm this with your individual HSA provider.

At this practice, I focus on an in-depth Functional Medicine approach to your health care and wellness that is not supported in an insurance-based model. I serve as a specialist in Functional Medicine in this setting and am out-of-network with insurance.

Yes. After a detailed medical history and any recommended labs, your treatment may include pharmaceutical medications in addition to nutrition/health coaching and natural supplements.
I am licensed in Washington state and you must be located in Washington state during a TeleHealth appointment.

Blood draws are done at either a lab draw site or by a mobile phlebotomist at your location. In our area we have LabCorp, Quest and MD Lab Solutions. Some of the labs are non-invasive and may be collected at home (stool, saliva, urine, blood spot). It is the patient’s responsibility to check if labs are covered by insurance or will be patient responsibility for payment.

Yes, although I do encourage you to follow any specific supplement recommendations. This includes the brand, as all supplements are not created equal. I only recommend professional-grade supplements that have been third-party tested and have the highest Good Manufacturing Practices in place. This assures that supplements are not contaminated, contain the right supplement and proper dose.
